English: Set in the vocative countryside of the natural park of the Secchia River, a short distance from Mantua, Bertoia Court, Bed & Breakfast is an ancient dairy-farm which full of atmosphere has been restored with the use of natural materials and at the same time respecting the environment. Rooms are on an independent level and breakfast is served in the large entrance room with a view onto the countryside. The house The house was built in the 1600s as a property of the Benedictine Abbey at Polirone to administer an estate of 300 rods. At the end of the 1700s it was registered in the Teresian cadastre as “House and Court for Holiday use” within a vast holding that supplied wine and grain to the monastery. After the ecclesiastical ownings had been confiscated in the Napoleonic period, the property became private and new buildings were added for growing necessities. The main part was rebuilt at the beginning of the 1900s and today it contains the B & B: Three rooms, spacious and furnished in the traditional style, contain private bathrooms and private heating. L'arredamento è curato direttamente dalla Galleria Antiquaria Zanini, dove la preziosità degli arredi, rigorosamente antichi, è armonizzata con gusto e ricerca agli elementi moderni. Le stanze a disposizione degli ospiti dedicate ai personaggi importanti che hanno segnato la storia di Polirone, sono: una matrimoniale o doppia, e due Junior suite con possibilità del terzo letto. Tutte le camere sono dotate di TV, aria condizionata, accesso ad internet con Wireless, cassaforte. Ogni stanza, ha il suo bagno privato con asciugacapelli, teli bagno, salviette, e prodotti per l'igiene personale. La prima colazione,con prodotti tipici, viene servita all’interno di una suggestiva sala, nel periodo invernale, mentre nel periodo estivo viene proposta nel chiostro esterno in giardino, così da ricreare un ambiente sereno e suggestivo per iniziare al meglio la giornata . A piano terra, vicino all'elegante ingresso, si trova una stanza di lettura, fornita di una cospicua libreria. I graditi ospiti, su richiesta, potranno essere accompagnati in una visita guidata alla Galleria Antiquaria Zanini e all’importante complesso monastico.

English: “ A casa dell’ Antiquario” B&B welcomes its guests to a smart Liberty house that has been completely renovated. It’ s situated in the heart of the historic center, very close to the abbey realized by the famous Italian architect of 16th century Giulio Romano and to the entire monastic complex of Polirone. Galleria Antiquaria Zanini has taken care of the furnishing. This excellent taste is obviously created by the antiques work of art, but, joined, as well, with modern elements, to be always in the forefront. Rooms reserved for guests are dedicated to very important personalities that marked the history of Polirone. These rooms are: a double, and two Junior suites with the possibility of a third bed. All rooms offer you TV, AIR conditioning, an internet connection through wireless and a personal safe. Each room also includes a private bathroom with a hairdryer, towels, and all the necessities for personal hygiene. During the winter there is a room reserved for breakfast in the ground floor, while, during the summer period we can also serve it in the garden, in a cloister, so as to recreate a relaxing atmosphere and to start the day in the best way. At the ground floor, next to the elegant entrance, there’s a room reserved for reading, furnished with an antique bookcase where you can find artistic manuals and interesting material concerning our area. Benedetto dei Marsi, nel cuore della Marsica, zona dell'Abruzzo posta al centro del sistema dei parchi e delle aree protette. Tra le zone più interessanti ricordiamo il Parco Nazionale d'Abruzzo, la Riserva del M. Velino, il Parco Regionale Sirente-Velino, la Riserva Zompo lo Schioppo. Nel luogo dove oggi sorge San Benedetto dei Marsi,città di Papa Bonifacio IV, esisteva una città chiamata Marruvium Il popolo dei Marsi ebbe in essa la capitale. La sua origine è testimoniata anche da Virgilio nel settimo Libro dell'Eneide in cui annovera, tra i guerrieri accorsi in aiuto di Turno contro Enea, il fortissimo Umbrone della Gente Marruvia. A pochi km da Ovindoli (nota località sciistica d'Abruzzo) e da Pescasseroli (conosciuta località turistica del Parco Nazionale d'Abruzzo). Circa 100 km ci separano dalla Capitale e dalla costa Adriatica. In poco tempo si raggiungono tutte le località di interesse naturalistico, artistico e archeologico della zona.

Among the most interesting places, we can mention the Abruzzo National Park and Sirente-Velino Regional Park, Velino Mountain and Zompo lo Schioppo Protected Area. Pope Bonifacio IV was from S. Benedetto dei Marsi, when the city called Marruvium. It was the capital city of the ancient Marsi’s people. Also Virgilio speaks about it in the seventh book of his own work. Few minutes to get Ovindoli (well-known Abruzzo skiing resort) and about half hour to get Pescasseroli (famous touristic place of Abruzzo National Park).
